Come play with me here
In this abandoned park
On the swings, down the slide
This wasteland under the stars

Listen to the crickets
We can learn their song
You say you have to leave soon
You say we don’t have long

But wait!  Don’t go!
There’s still so much to do!
We haven’t seen the sunrise yet
The sky hasn’t turned blue

If we leave this playground
Abandoned in our minds

We’ll have to leave it behind
